Immerse yourself in a deep dive of arm balances. Ever wanted to learn how to arm balance, or are you an arm balancer that wants to go deeper in finding different transitions and shapes? Ever been to a regular yoga class and people are just speeding along arm balances, without learning how to do it with proper guidance and without injury? Welcome to an all-level workshop where we will explore the mechanics of arm balances and how different variation targets different aspects of your movement and warm-up. If you are new to an arm balancing practice, we will give you safe tools to build up the strength and the techniques that are needed to find successful balance. This workshop will cover the following: • FLEXIBILITY - Using an Asana practice to enhance our flexibility • STRENGTH - Drills to fire up the core, shoulders, and arms. • TECHNIQUE - Learning the anatomy behind the asana and how to safely practice arm balances without risk or harm to the body. • MINDFULNESS - Arm Balancing are a skill that can take a long time to learn, so a little bit of kindness, patience, and confidence are the keys in sustaining an arm balancing practice. We will warm up with a Myofascial flow catered for our arm balances and work with the blocks and props, and partners, or in you have an existing arm balancing practice we can explore different variations for each inversion. The workshop is appropriate for all levels of practitioners, although some yoga experience is required. No arm balancing experience is required. More basic arm balances to advanced variations will be covered. All that is required? Come ready to laugh, play, and maybe overcome some fears in the process! Please register & pay online before coming to a class. Click Book now to choose your payment plan. Classes can be unbooked 2 hours prior to the class. If the class is full, you will be on a waiting list. Unattended booked classes will be deducted from your chosen membership/pass plan. Classes are canceled 2 hours before start time if there are no prior bookings or sickness without a possibility of a substitute. Courses, Events, & Workshops: Refunds can be made 24 hours before the class, course, event, or workshop has started. Courses, Events, and workshops are otherwise non-refundable or transferable to another payment plan. An admin fee of 5% will be deducted from the payment for refunds. Registration dates for a course are binding unless you have a medical reason with documentation. Missed credits can be used for a weekly drop-in class during the time period of the course.
